Public Relations (noun; abbreviation PR)

the business of communicating a clear, informative message about a specific product, company or individual to the public in order to create awareness and build brand identity. Public relations is a job that requires creativity, expertise, forward thinking and most of all, unrivaled skill in the construction of a good pun.*

    Working closely with our clients and being respectful of their vision, we build and execute tailored campaigns.

  • Securing media sponsorship

    We liaise with our many media contacts on a regular basis to secure attractive media sponsorship deals for clients.

  • Creating storyboards for ad campaigns

    We generate imaginative concepts to promote any given campaign, event or individual. Using our creative ideas we effectively communicate our clients’ key messages.

  • Scripting ads for broadcast media

    Our copywriters create snappy and engaging text for clients across numerous sectors. This allows our clients to successfully communicate a message that will resonate with target demographics.

  • Crisis management

    We provide crisis management support to clients seeking assistance in this area. Acting as the main point of contact or ‘middle man’, we intercept queries from media and other organisations and advise our clients on the best course of action.

Hopkins Communications carried out the public relations and media relations functions for the Irish Examiner Cork City Marathon. I found the company to be very efficient, professional and committed. Judy and her staff delivered in full on the commitments set out in their submission for the assignment, were available as required and were helpful, courteous and efficient at all times.

The social media campaign run by Hopkins was constant, imaginative and very effective and credited with increasing entries in the face of stiff competition from many other Marathons and events. In terms of PR, apart from issuing well-written and interesting press releases, they sought out participants and stories which got widespread publicity. They also arranged press and radio interviews with an extensive list of outlets, again very professionally and effectively.
