Happy December everyone! Have the last few months flown by for anyone else or is it just us? Not only has everyone at Hopkins Communications been busy in 2021 but so has the world of social media.

We have been avoiding the C-word as much as we could but if your business lives in the digital space, there are some facts you simply can’t ignore. We are all aware we have Black Friday (or should we say Black November at this stage!) and Christmas on the horizon.
It is bananas that it’s October already! Wasn’t it just June?! Anyway, it’s been another hugely busy month at HC HQ, especially in the world of digital marketing. Apple is doubling down on privacy protection. Facebook is moving towards focusing on messaging, and Instagram is testing a map search tool. Plus, we say a tear-filled goodbye to features nobody wanted!
It’s been a busy month in the world of social media, particularly for Instagram and Tik Tok. Some very exciting updates have been announced, along with some new features that may just make the digital world a kinder and more positive place to be! We’ll be covering it all in this month’s Sparks round up.
Truth to be told, there has been a lot going on in the digital world lately and we at Hopkins Communications are (as always) working hard to stay up to date and ahead of the game with all these changes. Buy hey, on a good note, positivity is trending up!
Ask anyone running a website, and one thing sure to send a deathly cold shiver down their spine is whenever Google announces an update. Air raid sirens and red flags swirl in their brains in a cacophony of panic. The sky is falling! The world is over! Your site is lost to the sands of time, or as it’s sometimes called, page 2 of Google.
Global Accessibility Awareness Day took place on the 20th of May and raised a lot of questions about how we can make social media and websites more accessible for everyone, no matter what their abilities. So, this month, we want to make sure that your social media channels and website are more accessible and inclusive.
May has sprung, and as the flowers are starting to bloom! We’ve been inspired to write about the visuals we’re seeing in our work day to day – the design trends! Here are 5 digital marketing graphic design trends for 2021, and why we think we’re seeing them.
This month we are going to focus on customer marketing! As physical storefronts continue to remain closed for a lot of businesses, we investigate what’s new for those brands who have embraced a digital pivot (yes, we just used that word we are all sick of hearing! #sorrynotsorry).
It wasn’t that long ago that we entered the Year of the Ox! The Year of the Ox predicts success in business, prosperity, and wellness, so don’t let anxiety or negative thinking affect you – as many challenges as we’re facing this year, it already looks set to be a year of growth and exciting opportunities.
